Does anyone have a Tivo'd copy of the game?

In particular, the last touchdown scored in the corner of the end zone by Vince Young?

I do believe his feet never actually were in the end zone.  The TV only showed the shot from the correct viewing angle to see this for a moment, and no one else seemed to pick it up.

Someone out there gimme a video or screencap to prove me right or wrong!

(I was cheering on Texas, but I gotta know if my eyes are deceiving me!)

I don't remember about his feet, but the only thing that has to cross the plain is the ball, and the plain extends forever.  I hate to say it, but go Texas.

Yeah, I just watched some replies in hopes to see the one camera angle, and of course they dont show it.

But on the other touchdowns they gave it to them even though the playeres feet were off in the Red area, which in my mind was out of bounds on the side of the field.  I guess its not though.  I'll default to the refs.

I hate Texas.  People from Texas don't consider themselves Americans.  They consider themselves Texans, which is far superior than being an American.  I'd wish they'd sucede from the Union if it weren't for their seemingly disproportionate amount of cheesecake.  Cheesecake with a superiority complex I can deal with.

Texas is the Quebec of the US.

I'd love to see anyone sucede, just to see it done.  That way I'd know what it is.   ;D

Okay, after finally watching this today, let me just say that Carroll is ---smurfing--- retarded. Wrong defense, wrong strategy, wasted timeouts, keeping Bush on the sideline for a critical 4th and 2? Dude is an even worse coach now than he was for the Patriots.  If you insist on pounding it up the middle, and everyone on the planet knew it was coming, at least bring in Bush to freeze the linebacker who ended up making the play.

Someone else has to be running their organization because apparently Carroll can't even figure out to keep an extra defender or two around the line against a running QB that hasn't completed a pass over 15 yards all night.

At the time, I thought Carroll made a good call.  If Vince Young got the ball back anywhere he was going to score.  Had USC got the first down they could run out the clock - AND - Texas hadn't stopped White running up the middle the whole second half and they were obviously tired.

Having said all that, Pete Carroll is still a questionable coach, but I don't think he should be crucified for going for it.  He had about 50 previous plays that said it would work.

I think the decision to go for it was correct, but not having Bush in?  WTF?  If they punt, you don't expect Texas to roll over and die like Notre Dame did with two minutes left.

Also, I love how they bust Bushs' balls for the flip, (which went to the tight end, who had it in his hands), and nothing is said about Young doing the exact same thing other than the fact he was down.  I've heard about fifty sports broadcasters knock him for that toss, but that is the type of player he is.  He is the same guy who turned that corner and left everyone in his dust on that touchdown run.  Youngs' lateral fumbles and the game is just as dramatically changed but it's not mentioned?  Young was on his knee when he did it.

sports commentating is highly opinionated.  many plays are players are highly controversial, so there is always a lot of crucifying on both sides.  you can always say, "he should have done the opposite," when anything doesn't go right.  and if it does go right, "he's a crazy genius."

Except you have to figure in the cost of failure.  You can do that in a regular game... you don't do that in the National Championship.

true, 95% of people were probably screaming to punt.  but, if i knew i had no defense, i would have done the same.

I was talking about the lateral.

I would have gone for it on 4th down too, but I would have used a two back set with Bush AND White in there.  It makes no sense to have your best player on the sideline during the most important play of your season.

No wonder you're so high-and-mighty!  I didn't realize you were a Texan.  Now, I know y'all think the world revolves around you, but there are actually many non-texas related things that use the five-pinted star.  You pretend that I'm just stereotyping, but I'll refer you right back to your own avatar.   It's a quality singular to Texans.  You won't ever see a single user on this forum from Utah that uses a beehive as their avatar.

And...ClubNinja hit the nail on the head, obviously.  Kinda sucks when your superiority complex and prejudices are so deeply ingrained that comments like that slip right out past your radar unchecked, huh?

Seriously....you live in Texas.  Don't get me wrong, I can see why it's advantageous for you to feign ignorance in this particular argument, but you're not an anomaly.  You know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.   Don't be disingenuous.  Laugh it off, like the vast majority of your neighbors and say, "What can I say?  Texans are just a little bit better than everyone else."
