Can BuddaMame be compiled with Mame32/Mame32FX? I would like to view the key layout by pressing pause in Mame32. Is it possible?

the question should be why? Mame32 is really a sucky frontend for an arcade cabinet.
There are SO many better solutions out there. (mame32 isn't bad on a PC with a keyboard / mouse... but... )

Mame32 works with command line, so you can use it with an arcade front end anyway. It can also be compiled without the GUI.
