What about component input to a TV?
« on: February 05, 2003, 02:06:03 pm »
I see some TVs now come with Component input.  Component input is RGB, right?  Does this mean we can do a vga cable hack and do RGB input to a TV like this?  Even if it would work, would the picture still be poor compared to an arcade monitor?

It may be moot since it seems the TVs with component input are higher priced anyway - might as well buy a WG 27" vga arcade monitor.

Yes component input is better than s-video. Is it better than an arcade monitor? That would be subjective and assuming that all other parts are equal would depend on the tv and the arcade monitor. All the other parts are seldom equal. though.
