oil based paint and adhesive vinyl art

I searched the message boards and couldn't find anything about sticking adhesive backed vinyl side art to a cabinet painted with OIL-based paints.  There are plenty of people having problems with latex paints so I guess it's going to be hell for me.  Anybody out there tackled this problem?  If so, I'd like any advice on supplemental adhesive to purchase and application technique.
