Hey guys -

Just wanted to take a few minutes out of the hustle and bustle to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe it's been a year since we started our cabinet with Saint's book and the help of everyone here. It's ALMOST done, believe it or not. I've got a little more painting to do, and we've got the marquee and side art to get done...but it's working and functional. We couldn't have gotten through this first one without you all.

Our next project? A jungle gym and two-story playhouse for our 3 year old. My wife had wanted us to do that for a while, but I think she decided if I got my "feet wet" with the arcade that I would find my own confidence in my woodworking skills. She was right.

didn't find the magazine subscription, but my boy did get a 17" monitor

Mark, I hear your pain and know your agony. Up this morning at 7:30 looking for batteries for my kid's first race track set. Man those gas station attendants really up the prices on batteries ($3.45 for a pack of two C cells where I live...and I needed 6 of 'em!)!

DOH!

ALWAYS go to the dollar store the week before and just buy a pack or two of each size (just in case). Worst case scenario, after all the money you already spent, you now have to find a use for several batteries that weren't needed.

The only problem with that is if it's an annoying present, they just have to recharge the batteries and it's annoying all over again. And remember, Oma and Bumpa won't care how annoying it is from their house

My camera doesn't run on batteries. I told it I was Chuck Norris and it is frightened not to operate for fear of getting a roundhouse kick.
