mame and mame32 help
« on: December 23, 2005, 11:06:32 pm »
a while back i ordered mame roms and a mame32 emulator from ebay, and when it arrived everything worked great.

i put it on gameex and it wouldnt work--no roms appeared in my arcade list...  i got to looking and the version of mame32 was .62... so i updated and refreshed the list and everything works great, except for about 200 of the games, including two of my favorites:  joust and digdug.  these worked on the old version of mame32 but dont work on the new one.  when i try to load the games i get this error:

decoder.4    NOT FOUND
decoder.6    NOT FOUND

when i audit the game i get this message:

joust   : decoder.4        512 bytes NOT FOUND
   CRC(e6631c23) SHA1(9988723269367fb44ef83f627186a1c88cf7877e)
joust   : decoder.6        512 bytes NOT FOUND
   CRC(83faf25e) SHA1(30002643d08ed983a6701a7c4b5ee74a2f4a1adb)

how do i fix this?  is there a place where i can find those decoders?  i'm assuming something is missing.

thanks!
