Paper Airplanes...

My kids just love these things. Keeps them busy for at least an hour. Pennies to make.

They color them with crayons to personalize them.

I bet there are websites out there to make pretty fancy designs...

I have (or had, haven't done this in a while) a program to print out on a reg'lar sheet of paper the fold lines, add designs, and whatnot for paper airplanes.

I'll see if I can hunt it down for ya, but only if you show us the job your kids do.

Thank. I'll see if I can post photos later on. Right now, the new Game Boy game, Star Wars Noise maker and the Alvin the Chipmunks DVD have taken top shelf

Whenever I'm bored at work, I make a paper airplane out of an uncut sheet of card.

The plane is about 1 meter long and flies like a bullet.
Now in a tasty new flavour.

wait go back to alvin and the chipmunks dvd.  thats probably the only tv/movie that involves singing that i can tolerate.  i heard theres a parody of their song about holiday man and everyone gets offended.

i have this book that i got from one of those school book fairs.  every page is a part of a plan.  i never made any of them cause if i do then there would be no book.  then there is another that i looked at in my old elementary school library.  the pages had the parts for various warplanes which was cool but you couldnt make them since youd have to cut up a school book.  i like when people make stuff that have no purpose.  kinda like policticans, rappers, property tax increases, taxes to replace the roof on your house.  fun stuff like that.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

I teach the 4 and 5 year olds class at my church and if I need a guaranteed winner of a time filler then I make paper airplanes for the kids. It has always been my number one trick. No other game or activity ever goes off as well as that one.

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

This brings back good memories...

I. too, taught 4-5 year old Sunday School class as well for quite some time.

We would often have need for time filler at the end of a session so I took the same approach....paper crafts that were easy and fun.

Paper airplanes, lanterns, boxes, etc.

Kids would return the following week and always ask what the "Mr. Steve" craft was for the week.

Thanks for sharing your experience which helped me to relive mine.
