I bought a used older PC on ebay some months ago and the PC came with Xandros 3.0.1 OC. Now this PC didn't come with any software whatsoever. I tried to do a reformat of it and now Im stuck.

I put a Win98 emergency boot disk in it to get FDisk to come up to reformat and everything seemed to format correctly but I wasn't able to use my Win98 CD because it is a set manufactures disk so it can only be used on one of my other PC's.

I figured that wouldn't be a problem so I went ahead and tried to install WinXP. I made sure I had the boot sequence correct in the CMOS, well it won't use the CDRom to boot even though I changed the sequence. So I went online and got the

If you only have a Dell Windows CD, you can (legally) download a "vanilla" image of the Windows CD and install from that, using the same CD key (found on the COA) that you were originally using.
