Xbox DUX 2 Help Now What?
« on: December 20, 2005, 11:39:48 am »
Hello

I have this Dux 2 chip http://www.duomodchip.com/english/install/duox2_white/duox2_white_v1.0.jpg

I would like to use the 2 boots. What is with the "BT" connection?
Do you use the "BT" and "DO" together?
Thanks

Ok got it to boot. Now what do I do?Have a little box in the top left.

the "bt" gets soldered from the little "bt" square on your mod chip to a little thin wire that you will run to the backside of your eject/power button inside your xbox.  You will solder that wire to the upper left solder point  if you are facing the back of your opened xbox.

this "bt" funcionality allows you to boot to standard unmodded xbox with the eject button and to boot to your modded box with the smaller power button.

the d0 is tricky.  You will need to find a blown up photo of your version of xbox mother board to locate that little sucker.  Its is TEENY TINY, so just a little dap of solder and you will be okay.

If you are rebuilding the LPC then with the supplied PCB for a 1.6 then the D0 point is brought out to a larger solder pad on the LPC rebuild PCB.
