Another iPac timeout thread
« on: December 20, 2005, 02:02:11 am »
I've already searched the forums about the ipac2 timeout problem but nothing fixed my problem. I'm running windows xp on my arcade cab and I installed the latest winipac utility off the ultimarc site. When I hit the program button I get a timeout error. I set the timeout option between 1-10 @ 1 sec intervals and it timed out at every setting.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix this? My wiring is fine, there are no shorts etc etc... I tried the ctrl+alt+P utility in a command prompt and it seemed to program fine but I would like to use the winipac utility since I want to change the shift key to 1SW7 which the ctrl+alt+p utility cannot do.

Edit: And does anyone know if there's a key combo for windows xp that increases/decreases the volume?
Edit #2: I just tried the winipac utility that was bundled with my ipac (I bought it mid 2005) and when I hit the program button it says "programming ipac..." but it never stops. It's been going for about 5 mins now and it still thinks it's programming the ipac.

Thanks.

Try emailing Andy at Ultimarc or posting this on the mameworld forums. I know he recently changed something to the ipac software.
