Logitech Wireless PS2 Controller Problem
« on: December 19, 2005, 03:32:32 am »
Upon opening the package, I inserted the 2 Duracell batteries into the controller and I plugged the receiver unit into my Playstation 2. I thought I could start gaming immediately, but I couldn't. No matter what button I push, absolutely nothing happens. The controller is obviously connecting with the receiver because the green light blinks whenever I press a button, and it stays green if I push buttons rapidly. But other than that, I can't navigate with the d-pad and I can't start any game.

I don't know how I can explain the situation any better than that. Am I forgetting any steps? Was there any software that was supposed to come with the controller? I'm thinking that I either have a faulty controller or perhaps, older model PS2's don't work with the controller?

I have a first gen PS2, got it right when it came out and the Logitech controllers works perfectly with mine. Did you try upluging the receiver then plugging it back in? Other than that, I dont know; mine worked upon plugging it in and pressing a button on the pad.

the only thing I've ever done is push the button on the receiver that's plugged into the PS2...this tells the receiver to "connect" to the controller,,

or I had to turn off and turn back on the PS2 once to get it working..

other than that..great controller

Did you get the 2.4ghz Logitech controllers? Or the previous version? How long ago did the controllers come out?
