Vid Signal through Copper wire?

I have some extra copper wire laying around and was wondering if i could extend my breakout cable w/ it...can copper wire send vid signal?

Sure.  Most video cables are merely copper wires anyway.  As long as the gague can handle the ampage (and video isn't high ampage by any means - look at the wires inside a VGA cable, etc) you'll be right.

The only thing to worry about is shielding.  If you are carrying signals over long distances, you will need adequate sheilding to avoid signal interference.  We are bombarded with magnetic fields, and a huge number of signals from radio to microwave coming from all our various wireless devices and whatnot (not to mention natural sources like the sun, and our earth's magnetic field).

Twisting cables together can help reduce interference, but still isn't good enough for large runs.
