Hello,
I am begining initial plans for a new MAME cab, and I am trying to make it as optimal as possible. I plan on putting a 27" BilLabs multi-sync monitor into a Neo Candy 29 cab. Sorry if some of these questions are newbish, I did some searching but could not find anything confirmed. So here are some questions.
Since the monitor syncs to 31 Khz, then do I need an ArcadeVGA? Will games look better displayed on their native horizontal frequency? If I go that route, will I be able to display windows, etc. at 31 Khz? If not, is there any advantage to having a muli-sync? Does ArcadeVGA only display at 15 Khz? Also I have eard some ppl have had difficulty with a J-Pac, since this will be a dedicated computer cab, and wont need to keep it JAMMA. Would it be better to keep the JAMMA wiring with a J-PAC, or completely rewire everything with a I-Pac or Mini-Pac? In other words, would a dedicated wiring job have any advantages over JAMMA -> J-Pac wiring?
Any answers would be great, thanks.
