I just sent this in to Cecil Adams, but I want some faster opinions. If I were to fill my toilet with Clorox bleach, and urinate in it, would it produce deadly chlorine gas? If so, enough to cause harm?

I seriously doubt it. Your urine doesn't contain that much amonia. Cat pee might, in sufficent quantity.

No. However, you can combine with Windex, and get a spectacular effect. Not that I have ever done this...

I have mixed straight ammonia with bleach before. Yeah, it makes chlorine gas, but unless you're in a very enclosed area it won't do much.

He seems to have alot of knowledge about strange gasses, should we be worried?

I had a rather mispent youth. A lot of the time I would make concoctions that would explode, yes. A - albiet very brief, my mother made me return it - gift to myself was The Anarchists Cookbook. Before it was returned, I copied by hand quite a few of the recipes in there. Later I even tried a few of them.

Ah, the goold old days. Wonder what happens today if someone turns you in because you have a copy of that book laying around??? Mines been unread so long I have no clue where it is.

I did pick up a cool book titled "Principles of nuclear reactor engineering" at a book sale. Not that I have half a clue about whats in there, it just looks cool on the coffee table.
