mame and screen pulling.
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:40:13 pm »
Hi,
I am running cmd line version of mame 0102b. I am putting this on a WG K7000 monitor. The tech from WG told me this has a horiz rate of 15 to 16khz. Vert rate of 50 to 60hrz.res for my 25'' is 560x240. So. I set my mame config to force all games into 560x240.  I left refresh set to auto. I disabled all the DirectX stuff. Now almost all games work great except i get screen pulling when image is scrolling.  Does anyone have a k7000 that knows how to stop this? Or mayby there is a option I am missing in my mame config that is causing this. I figured because this monitor supports 50-60 it wouldnt have any pulling on it. I should also note I am using this with a jpac and a avga (3.4ghz p4 and gig of ram). Thanks for reading.

You'll likely not need both vsync and triple buffer. Turn triple buffer on first, see if your hardware supports it, and if so, it should take care of the problem.
