Sorry, I use command line mamew, but I assume you realize that Aligator is not fully working in 0.64 and aligatun is working.

Yes, the parent rom has a rather odd form of copyright protection.  The game will load to the first stage, and you can move around and shoot, but there is nothing to shoot at. :D  Try the clone, it's fully playable.

Switched from Advance mame .63  to dmame.64 and the games that didn't work, now work.  It must be a bug in the advamame.63 release I would guess?   I would still like to run Advance mame .64 realease, I love  having the many choices of resolution that Advancemame offers, just waiting  for the new one to come out.

Alligator Hunt *shouldn't* run properly even in standard 0.64.  As Howard said there's nothing to shoot at...unless you use Alligtor Hunt (unprotected).

Actually what was happening was that I kept getting a message stating "unsupported bit rate" for that game and a few others, but when I changed to dmame64, now I don't get that.  It was more of an issue of can I run the game at all?

Ah I see!  Well at least you have it working for now, hopefully you shouldn't have to wait too long for the new AdvMAME...
