Congrats. That is IMO, one of the collest arcade-related items that you could possibly own. I was very tempted to buy one myself recently, but in the end I decided that it was just priced too high. Very nice addition to your collection, man!
Thanks -- it definitely was pricey ... more than I have spent on a cabinet to date. Won't be getting into pins anytime soon as a result.
It is such a beautiful cabinet -- I can't believe the design wasn't copied for more side-by-side cocktails. It is a joy to play.
Had some colour issues that weren't related to the monitor. The seller had it traced to the boards (even though most of the chips had been individually pulled and tested... each individually tagged as OK) and pointed me in the direction he was heading -- potential problem with transistors or resistors for the RGB lines on the board.
I experienced the problem he saw and did my typical preliminary checks and I think it was a connector problem as I reseated each wire in the video connector and haven't seen the problem since (not that I am going to tell him yet).
I also picked up a bunch of Williams boards (including a Bubbles, Joust, power and sound boards) in varying degrees of condition, as well as monitor mounts, marquee brackets and bezel for a standup Joust, which Grav hopes will find their way into somebody's restoration efforts. The guy is truly a class act (and he built a Williams multi-game before Clay built his kits!) ... and his Gravitar machine is the most spectacular and immaculate machine I have ever seen.
Cheers.
