Avoiding asteroids in ESB
« on: December 01, 2005, 08:24:47 pm »
Ok so it seems to me to be nothing but luck if I make it through the asteroid field in Empire Strikes Back without getting hit. Am I missing something? It seems like no matter how I move the stick, if a rock is coming at me, it's gonna hit me. :) And yes I am using an analog stick so controls are not "correct" (I don't have a SW flight yoke) but my stick is appropriate for the game and calibrated properly.

Eric.

Should I have posted this in the EE forum, or was it a totally dumb question, or both? :)

I have heard that if you just steer the cursor to the top left you will not get hit.  In fact, I did this just last night when I was playing ESB.  I don't know if this works on all levels, but it has worked for me every time on the first couple.

Not a dumb question.  When I try to dodge them, I always get nailed.  Even with the trick I mentioned above, it still looks like they're going to get me, but they don't.  There just doesn't seem to be any way to tell.
