Hello everyone.
Found this message board last night, and it's fantastic. I'm really hoping someone out there has already done what I'm trying to do, and can offer some help.

This weekend, I tried to change my Mame cabinet setup, which has been working well since 1998, but had some trouble with certain ROMs. I was hoping an upgrade would let me play them.
Here's my old setup. Using a converted Donkey Kong cabinet with a Sanyo/Nintendo EZ-20 19" monitor. I'm running everything under DOS (Windows '98 version) and was using Mame 036B and ArcadeOS 2.35 as a front end. My video card is an ATI Rage Pro Turbo (AGP). Like I said, this setup worked great for about seven years. I just got tired of not being able to play certain games, and thought an upgade was in order.
I ended up with AdvanceMame 0.101.0 for DOS, and AdvanceMenu 2.4.11. Everything worked great using a flat-panel computer monitor to set up and test everything. Then came time to run advcfg.exe to configure it for my Sanyo EZ-20.
I have no idea what my active, front porch, sync, and back porch settings are, and I would love to use them if anyone has them available.
Since I didn't have these settings, and I read here that the "Arcade Standard CGA (15 kHz)" settings should work, I used that for my config. When I hooked up my Sanyo, I could make out the center/settings menu, so I used the keyboard to center the image. When I hit return, the picture got very bad. To me, it looked like two mirror images, split vertically. Each image also appears to suffer from an hsync problem.
I know my video card/monitor combo works, I think I just need the proper settings for AdvanceMenu. Can anyone help?
p.s. the reason I didn't stay with mame/arcadeos was that I couldn't find a more recent dos version of mame than 69B and when I tried that with ArcadeOS 2.52, my list of roms was always 0. I tried all the suggestions to get that to work (rompath, legacygen, etc.) with no luck.
