I have heard that it doesn't work on a radio morning show for what that's worth

total BS

if you can still see the number so can a camera.... even if it reflects back the flash a quick select and enhance contrast in any photo package will produce a readable image

No, they don't work, and in some states the "photo resistant" license plate covers are downright illegal.  I'd bet that spray is illegal in some areas too, but they'd have trouble proving you had it.

"As seen on TV"

should be enough for anyone to know it doesn't work.

I've seen some people with License plates that are so rusty, you can't read the number...

Wonder if that is legal?

If so, all ya gotta to is accerlerate the rustiung process and you're good to go speed!

not sure about over there... but here in the uk even having a crack in your plate or too much dirt on your plate you can be pulled over and given a fixed penalty (Fine and points on your license)

I'm pretty sure the same applies here, but I've never heard of it being enforced.

You can get a ticket for obstructed license - got one here in NY once. It was freakin snowing out, and some snow was on the license plate. I took pictures when I got home. Still had to go to court, but got it dismissed. Usually, you just fix the problem and they dismiss the ticket...

that ad makes me feel like a buck-toothed criminal for even using that.  i'd rather pay the fine than be so shady to use that and not pay the .50.
