StarGate toooo fast
« on: November 19, 2005, 12:50:03 pm »
I've got an AMD3000+ w/ WinXP, I recently discovered mame ( better late than never ) and was thrilled to find that I could play StarGate again!!
It's been along time since I dumped 5 bucks of quarters into a game but....
The game accelerates in difficulty/aggressiveness way faster than I believe it did in its original arcade form.

I did the mame help thing and have checked or unchecked the defaults as recommended, the game is way fast, fun,

Do you mean it is normal speed on the early levels but then becomes faster than a genuine Stargate machine on later levels?

If that is the case then maybe Stargate suffers from the speed bug the Robotron used to suffer from and which has just been fixed.

Which version of MAME are you running?
