TRON - Yet Another Project Cab
« on: November 09, 2005, 03:03:37 pm »
I picked this up from one of the CGCC guys at the last Starburst auction (wasn't in the auction, was just a convenient meeting place).

It's a barebones Tron upright, but had all of the features that I really wanted in a Tron project cab -- solid cabinet, non-broken shroud and MCP translight in good shape. The artwork is pretty torn up as you would expect, but repros are readily available.

Also picked up lot of CP parts to shorten my list of items to find.

A while back I also picked up a couple of NOS Midway kickplate protectors, one of which will get use on Tron (and the other on Galaga).

So that makes 3 projects for the winter, along with a couple of monitor repairs.

Cheers.

EDIT: Should have mentionned that I have a boardset in my box-o-boards. Status unknown and bought as non-working, although every "untested" board I have bought from Starburst has ended up working. Also will be installing a switching PS, so am going to get an adaptor from ArcadeShop.com.

Nice to another program on the game grid.  I have amassed some Tron resources here that may help:

I just posted this stuff, a cp with the joystick assembly, spinner assembly.  The joystick as shipped will have the black handles and the spinner needs a knob.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6225367753

That is a sweet auction ... gonna watch it, but the only item I need from the CP currently is the handle and I really want blue ...

I included a link to your auction in the "Whose has the Nicest Tron Stick" thread over in Main:

Thanks & Cheers.

You do not have a spare joystick assembly do you?  Looks like 1 plus parts above.

The parts haven't arrived yet -- I was having them shipped to my folks (in CT), who will then bring them up to me (in Canada), but my impression was 1 plus parts.

Cheers
