Does running Trisync alter AVGA card? - See inside for answer

I've had an AVGA card running a Betson 27" Multisync for several months now.

Does running Trisync alter AVGA card? - See inside for answer

I e-mailed Andy at Ultimarc and from what I gather, the AVGA does change on-board after running the Tri-Sync utility.  I put the AVGA card back in my cabinet running the Betson Multisync and uninstalled both ATI Control Panel and the AVGA drivers.  Then I reinstalled the AVGA drivers which reset the AVGA to it's normal 15.7 Khz 640x480 bootup resolution.

I put the AVGA card back in my cocktail computer hooked up to the Kortek 19" CGA monitor.  However, I still couldn't get a good display in Windows 2000 in either the normal boot or safe mode.

Solution:  Hit F8 but instead of choosing Safe Mode choose VGA MODE.  This came up fine and allowed me to install the AVGA drivers on the cocktail computer.  Now it works fine.  I think the CGA monitor looks even nicer than the Betson 27" multisync.

I will never use another VGA monitor or TV again in a cabinet if I can at all help it.  The arcade monitor looks fantastic and just "feels right."
