for my philosphy class, it has to be some kind of issue where you can be for or against it... can be about anything really but its due next week and i have to get my topic approved by wednesday and i have no idea what to write about. what are some videogame related issues that might apply?

I did my persuasive topic last semester on why morons should take a course before getting a computer and getting on the internet. then used examples of viruses phishing schemes and AOL disk to support my case.

I got an A on it

OK, here's the stereotypical one:

Should situations (eg violence, sex) in video games continue to be portrayed more realistically over time. (I reckon bring it on, but the more conservative people here *cough* Drew *cough* would probably like games to de-evolve to something like Parasol stars or Puzzle Bobble)

Or the whole ethics behind owning romz you don't own boards for (or just owning romz period).

Or better yet, should David Foley be drawn and quartered before or after being mauled for several hours by rabid poodles.

yeah i was thinking about the violence in videogames things cause theres actually some news storys and things out there i can draw from. the roms and boards issue might be good but i dont think theres enough documentation

yeah ill search around, i think its going to be one of those 2 topics because, a. i like videogames, and writing about it wont be so bad, also i have personal opinions that i care about on them, and b. my professor is actually retiring teaching next year to become ceo of his company which is releasing a MMORPG next year. so hes into games too
