Help Me Edit Sinistar...
« on: November 04, 2005, 03:52:33 pm »
My original goal was to create a machine that looked 100% original but would play a ton of games that have the ability to work with only a single button.  However, this left out Sinistar :( !  I really don't want to start adding buttons because I know that I would eventually add more and more to my control panel.

This goes against the whole idea of keeping the ROMS original, but...Would it be possible to alter my ROM so that the Player2 button would function as the Sinibomb button?  It seems like it would be fairly easy if it is possible...can anyone out there do this???  Help!

first this probably should be in the main forum

but you can easily do this if youre using an IPAC with the shift function. assuming P1 start is the shift, you hold P1 Press P2 to initiate a 2p game. and by default the p2 button would be your 2nd button

Clearly the number of buttons setup for use in Sinistar is a major factor in the world's pork belly market. Don't try to tell me that you didn't know that.

That's a perfectly good answer.  I dont' see the problem with the answer.

More imortant than a 2nd button, I would think, is what kind of joystick did you install originally?  I think sinistar used a 360.  it sux0rz on my 8 ways.
