Author Topic: Lazarus 4.5 and MAME .63 problem (Read 1920 times)

I keep getting a:
run time error '62'
input past end of file

When trying to generate a new masterlist in Lazarus 4.5. Anyone else having this problem? I tried deleting the masterlist, recompiling MAME, to no avail...

Any ideas?

I may be talking out of my butt here. But I used to get that error in my old cobol class because there was an extra line return or space at the end of my data file.

I agree, it is something to do with the data, either a field out of place, or something. The problem is, that both the list generator and Lazarus call mame -li and mame -listdetails to gather the data... there is no way (that I know of) to modify that data before the masterlist is created...

any help would be apreciated...

Your problem is the new bios added to mame as of this version. You see mame outputs bios as a game, but in the wrong format, thus gumming up the works. I manually block out bioses via code as they are a rarity.

I already have a working version and it will be out within a day or so, just be patinet.

Since I am busy with dx laz I won't bother with making a new zip file..... If you want to run mame .63 then you will need to replace your listgen.exe with this one. It will work with all the latest versions of lazarus.

Actually, Im using the latest version of mame, just downloaded it last night.... suggestions?
