Greetings all, this might be a bit of an advanced question here, but I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out. Getting a bit frustrated.
Bit of background, I have a Dynamo cabinet with a WG 19K7602 connected to a J-PAC and an ArcadeVGA card. Had the cabinet in storage for a year in a basement, pulled it out when I moved, everything still worked great.
Two or three nights ago, the picture just slowly faded out, almost as if it lost the setting for the "screen" control.
Followed the instructions in the manual (
found online) for "White Balance" and got the picture back, looking great. I had to approximate some of the steps, as I don't have a scope here at home.
Essentially:
* Set Drive controls to midpoints
* Set Cutoff and Screen controls fully CCW
* Set Contrast and Brightness to midpoints
* Slowly turn Screen CW until raster just visible with lead color gun
* Slowly turn Screen CCW until raster extinguished
* Adjust Brightness for DIM raster & adjust non-lead-color cutoff controls for grey balance
* Adjust Brightness for BRIGHT raster & if necessary adjust R&G drive for white balance
*Adjust Brightness & Contrast
Seemed to look great, picture was nice and bright and clear, just like it's always been.
Played a few games for a bit, turned it off for the night.
Turned it on today, no picture again. Followed the instructions for white balance, looked great. After about 15 mintues, picture faded out again. Probably went though this about 5-6 times today in the span of a few hours.
So I gave up for a while, ate dinner, then fired it back up about an hour ago, and am now unable to get a picture back at all!
After a few years of being fine, and holding an adjustment through a move and storage, etc... and after being fine for a month in my new house, does anyone know what the heck is going on with this thing? It's driving me NUTS!
