Oh Canada
« on: October 26, 2005, 06:47:29 pm »
The Canadian government is proposing a solution to the country's rising violent crime rate: sue U.S. gun makers.

Their crime rate increases as their gun control laws increase.

Here's a tip for you Canadian's, criminals are more effective when they have unarmed victims.

I wonder how many millions Canada will spend on lawyers before they find out about S. 397.

Dartful,

I'll be the first to tell you how embarrased I am of our gov't on this issue. A project that was supports to cost 2M net to implement, has cost the Canadian taxpayers in excess of 1 Billion dollars with no end in site.

Probably a good time to annex Canada and make it the 51st state. Our borders are a joke anyways. <-- This is a joke (not about the borders)

Hmmm..Seems the Canadian Government is simply following suit with some American cities/States...

Our great president signed this bill yesterday:

S.397
Title: A bill to prohibit civil liability actions from being brought or continued against manufacturers, distributors, dealers, or importers of firearms or ammunition for damages, injunctive or other relief resulting from the misuse of their products by others.
Sponsor: Sen Craig, Larry E. [ID] (introduced 2/16/2005)      Cosponsors (61)
Related Bills: H.RES.493, H.R.800
Latest Major Action: 10/26/2005 Signed by President.

...But maybe the United States will allow a lawsuit against American Gun Manufactures from a country that isn't doing anything to stop it's Pharmaceutical companies from shipping illegal drugs into America.

Good luck with that.

Hey Drew, Wisconsin is going to be a packing state!  That means Illinois will be a gun control island, and with Blowguybitch and Daley on their last legs, Illinois will soon follow.

If it wasn't for the Sux hoopla, yesterday would have been a good day.

Our great president signed this bill yesterday:
I won't bother to go into that...

...But maybe the United States will allow a lawsuit against American Gun Manufactures from a country that isn't doing anything to stop it's Pharmaceutical companies from shipping illegal drugs into America.

Good luck with that.

I think we all know that Canada's lawsuit probably won't get past legislation(even if it does, it'll just cost millions just to be laughed out of the courtroom)...It's one thing to propose such a thing, it's entirely another to follow through with a useless venture like that...<Then again, maybe I've giving our government too much credit>

I haven't watched in awhile, but I didn't think she was that hot.  Now the blonde chick in the red dress is certainly attractive.

There are of course more "cheesecake-worthy" shots of them, but my home connection is dialup. Hopefully the potential of these women when they are stripped down and covered in mud (as happens from time to time) shoud be obvious.

Chad clearly has terrible taste in television. This is the best sci-fi I've seen on TV since the last three or so seasons of Star Trek: TNG.

On second thoughts I don't really want any spoilers as I'm hoping they'll show it over here one day.

At least our friends from the South know what's what.

This is from USA today.

Monday Oct 24
Voters in Brazil, a country with one of the world's highest rates of gun-related homicide, overwhelmingly rejected a measure yesterday that would have banned the domestic sale of small arms and ammunition.

Can you tell if this paper was a little biased?

Other articles on this subject are saying "Gun-happy Brazil..."

Sorry liberal media, you lose again.  Viva Brazil!!!
