Dreamcast controls for emus
« on: October 21, 2005, 05:38:54 pm »
O.K.
I have to ask before I build.
Whats your opinion of the best control layout for nes, snes and general emulation.I plan on putting a few dreamcasts (4 tops) into a cab and switching between them for the different emus.
(2 player cab)
Thanks,
PileDriver

Personally, I use an xbox for my emulation, but this is what I do:

NES: X is B, A is A.

SNES: Each button is based on it's location on the SNES pad: X equals Y, A equals B, you get the idea.

General emulation: Fire/action on X, jump on A.

Thanks for the responce.
I should have been more clear.
I meant control panel layout.
Should i use a layout like the NEO-GEO or maybe a street fighter type.
Looking at the hacked pads( Thanks again HarumaN) there are six buttons (L,R,A,B,X and Y) so probably street fighter
Pictures anyone?
Thanks

Check out my panel layout:

It's a modified SF layout with an extra button for a Neo Geo layout.
