A few years ago, a chick from a MOO asked around about the company I worked for, then called the front desk and asked for me. She wanted to drive up from Virginia and spend the weekend together.

The concept of being cold called, at work, by a chick from the net for a weekend at a motel was offputting.

Well, we had both met a couple of third parties at one time or another, and they vouched for her being a chick.

They also vouched for her being a bit psycho and a lot ugly.

I believe one of them said something close to "she got off the plane and I was tempted to forget who I was for a minute".

ok, i don't know where and when you learned english but figuring is the gerund of figure. i can't think of any nouns that don't relate to the verbs but are spelled the same as the verb gerunds. gerunds still retain the original verb stress. figurine has syllable final primary stress, which is usually spelled een/ine in the noun form.

so please don't spell random objects the same way you spell gerunds. it makes you look like a foreigner, which isn't necessarily bad but should be if this is your native language and you don't have a learning disorder. if you're french, i apologize.
