How to Hide unwanted games in MAME
« on: January 18, 2003, 12:51:38 pm »
I'm using AdvanceMenu and windows Mame .59  I'm using AdvancedMenu because I have a verticle display.  There doesn't seem to be a "favorites" list in AdvanceMenu like there are in other front ends (I'm used to using MameWah).  I thought I had read in a Mame FAQ once a while ago how you could force a game to be shown or not in the Mame list, but now I can't find it.  I only want ~40 of my favorite 4-way games to show up in the list, and I don't want to go deleting all but the 40 roms.

Any suggestions?

I think if I create a "type" to stick to (such as "Arcade") and set all the games I want in the list to the "Arcade" type and all the games I don't want to some other type, I should be okay.
