I'm hoping someone will donate those Ray, I agree they would be good choices. I do have Mario 64, but it's one of my favorite games, so I'm afraid I'm just not wiling to part with that one.

GameOver- Your package of games arrived last night. Thanks!

I don't know if I should give this stuff to Tyler as it comes in, or if I should wait until I have a big pile of stuff and give it to him all at once. What do you guys think?

Oh, and as it turns out, Tyler is a big fan of fighters, so if anyone has one or two they're willing to part with that would be great!

Only just noticed this thread.

I have some Dreamcast games I'd gladly donate but I'm not sure if they'll play in a US Dreamcast...I'm guessing not without a swap-disc.  Let me know if there is a solution...I can't remember off hand what games I have except Tomb Raider & Jet Set Radio.

Thanks for the offer Minwah. I'm not sure if the DC is region encoded or not. Anyone?

I think I remember that if you copy one, you can change the region code on it.  I have never tried it myself but I'm pretty sure I remember that, and it does stand to reason that it could be done simply.

Given a moment to consider, it's probably irrelevant. Postage from GB would probably be prohibitively expensive.

Most worthwhile DC games can be downloaded and burned easily anyway.

I will start burning games tonight. I will add a list to the thread before shipping. If I leave off any must have games let me know and they will be added prior to shipping.

[edit]
So far I've burnt about 25 CD's and am only up to Crazy Taxi 2 working alphabetically.

Haven't had the chance to mail yet, sorry about that.

Gotta say, how many of those games are for a kid?  Crazy Taxi has no place in the hands of a 9 year old.

If we are going to corrupt the kid by sending him burnt games. Why stop there? Someone send the kid a hooker and case of scotch....  ;D

While I'm sure that would make his year, somehow I doubt it would endear me to his parents. ;)

You're nuts.  The only problem with Crazy Taxi is how quickly it becomes boring.

Could we avoid threadcrapping in a sticky about donating games to a handicapped kid?

Any new interest in this? A lot of people seemed interested in sending stuff, but only a couple actually did, at least so far.

Every time I see him he reiterates to me that he likes fighters and "adventure" games. I'm not sure if by adventure he means platformers or maybe something along the lines of ICO/ Beyond Good & Evil/ Tomb Raider. I'm thinking I may go out and buy him a game or two today at lunch. I'm not a big fighter fan, what's a good one on the PS2?

On the subject of what is or isn't appropriate, any games that I get that I'm not familiar with, I'll be sure and let his parents know that I don't know if it's a good game for kids and just let them make the call. These are really good people and they're very appreciateive of everything we've done for them. I don't think they'll get mad if a game that they think he shouldn't be playing slips through.
