wierd issue with component and power on
« on: October 11, 2005, 06:32:34 pm »
Ok, I have a radeon 9600 card with a dvi-i - component adapter then that component going to my JVC 27" TV.  Works fine.  Here is the issue when I turn off and restart the compuer the screen turns blue (its the screen you see instead of static on some TV's)  And wont go back to the windows xp desktop untill I unplug the components from the video card and replug them in.  The screen then appears instantly?!?!

I replaced the cables and tried a different video card and all the same thing, any ideas?

well moving the cabinet, removing the back panel and unplugging/replugging each time I reboot doesnt sound to appealing to be honest with you

Have you checked to make sure it's not a setting on the TV?

Also make sure you have the DVI port selected as the primary. I believe the dvi ports on Radeons are secondary by default.
Now in a tasty new flavour.
