mpeg to avi?
« on: October 11, 2005, 01:17:59 pm »
A friend of mine is looking to convert mpeg files to avi.  I'm not familiar with video stuff, does anyone know of a free utility that will work for him?

Thanks!

Try www.videohelp.com Heaps of stuff there, however....

....Virtualdub is quite good for this sort of thing. Also very flexible.
Now in a tasty new flavour.

I've used dr. divx for a no brainer approach--virtual dub is a fine utility though--just not a plug and play one like dr. divx.
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

AutoGK is probably your best bet.

Here's a list of guides from VideoHelp.com

I tried out AutoGK and it was really easy to use!   Thanks!
