I think the point was, when your annual raise is measured in coins, you aren't in the right line of work.

Checked the forums.

Dealt with a couple of students who were whining about wanting a schedule change.

Checked the forums.

Printed a copy of the master schedule for the principal. Printed another copy for him a few minutes later after he lost the first one.

Checked the forums.

Calmed down an angry parent.

I've done quite a few things, but not as many as usual because they made me work half the long weekend and I'm annoyed with them.

- Revised plans for 12 old jobs from 2002 that just made budget.

- Finalized plans to have my home heating system converted to gas.

- Ate the weekend's leftovers.

- Showed the new guy how to make mistakes properly.

- CNC'd some ATM parts.

- Got the new version of SketchUp an played around with it (very fun simple CAD tool if you don't need anything too precise).

Preparing to go into overtime mode now...

Worked on CAD drawings of schematics for water treatment plant.

Responded to computer trouble call in neighboring state.

Billed for computer trouble call - 2 hours @ $90.00 an hour to reboot PC at water treatment plant.

Replaced tape in weekly backup pool.

Modified job specs and quote for upcoming job.

Surfed web intermittently.

I've still got an hour left to work.  I gotta be doing something wrong - this seems way too productive.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

Reloaded GX260 w Win XP and imaged 5 others (through a 10mb, took an hour), installed 5 or 6 usb wireless adapters.  Explained for the millionth time why I have to put service pack 2 on your xp machine and explained it will run like crap.   Removed pen cap from floppy drive. Took 3 calls from my boss on the Accelerated Reader problem at Midway.  On another note, if you have kids in K-12, beat the crap out of them if they steal the balls out of the mice.

Sigh.  All it takes is one thing to tick her off and someone to suggest "you know, you could get thousands from this guy without ever going to court".  It doesn't matter whether or not she likes it now.  I've seen it happen too many times.  The second that suit is filed, you're already out thousands in defense attorney fees, and if it goes to court, she sits on the stand and cries and you lose.  It happened to a good friend of mine.  Chick was all into him, they got all flirty, it went to stuff like this... then she decides she wants something else, turns on him, sues his pants off, destroys his reputation, and he loses a business he worked 15 years to build.

No trim is worth all that.

I had a gf that was a sought after model when I was younger.

Women with a unique look, like being half Native American, are not discriminated against, they get the quick road to work... if they are attractive enough.

You'd be surprised how many women are constantly told they are attractive enough but when the rubber hits the road (squip) they just aren't.

If the pic you posted of her is representative of how she actually looks, I'd say the reason she didn't get any work is because the guy doing the hiring was a moron.

yeah so i did nothing again today, w00t

so heres my plan for the next 2 years, im looking forward to it

I work the rest of my time here (8 - 12 months about) until my boss moves to florida, going to school in the meantime, in the summer i plan on at least 2 classes also.

next year he moves, i collect unemployment due to losing my job beyond my circumstances (boss moving), i looked it up and its almost guarenteed i will qualify i dont see why not. I collect that for a year, which is the maximum time, meanwhile still going to school. this is all legal as long as im not going fulltime, meaning i will take 3 classes a semester instead of 4, and catch up with summer classes. also i can work with my friend working on cars part time off the books for extra cash.

by the end of unemployment i will almost have a 2 year degree, might have it complete. and will either A. find another fulltime job and continue part time college. or B. go fulltime college, find a part time job

i cant wait to get unemployment lol

I've actually gotten quite a bit done today. I have a little project that I have to get finished before January. I did about half of it in the last hour. Better slow down or I'll work myself out of a job. ;)

You do realize that the Unemployment office can stop paying if you are unable to prove you are actively seeking work...?

I've never collected unemployment (I'm sure most of you guys are suprised at that), but I thought all you had to do was apply to a few places every week.

Nope, if they want, they can make you provide a form that would be filled out by a hiring manager with which you interviewed.

If that manager doesn't make it look credible, and they may contact the manager so you can't fake it (it's a felony anyway), you can be cut off.

I'm just upset that she's leaving at the end of the month, she is the very best secretary that a person could ask for and I really think she should make the right decision and stay on.

(am I being subtle enough H?)  ;)

Speaking only for myself, Zakk, if she's leaving your employment to go elsewhere, she's a little touched in the head.  You're the nicest Canadian real-estate baron I know, and not only would she be a fool to leave you, she'll never find a better boss.

Heather, thank you for leaving him, and I look forward to working with you shortly ;D  I'll be more prompt in scanning your portfolio pics in to further your modeling career, making our employment relationship a win/win proposition for you.  I hope to see you soon, and I believe our uniform here will look better on you than any other employee.  For the rest of the geeks here, I've posted a picture of what your new uniform will look like below.  Zakk, best wishes, and I'll let you visit her whenever you like ;D

I am a nice Canadian.  We all are.  We NEVER EVER sue each other, right? ;D

She ain't givin up the potfolio.  Oh sure I begged and plied her with gin, she's having nunovit.  She said she'll put it up on Ebay and we can bid on it  :D

Here, however, is another shot of her molesting another secretary (who oddly enough quit a few months ago).  That's as close as any of us are getting to seeing her in her skivvies (unless the gin ploy finally works!)
Back for nostalgia, based on nostalgia.

I'm kinda late to the party but...
Punched in promptly at 6:30 am
Looked forward to break,
ditto lunch and afternoon break.
clocked out at 3:00 pm.

Went home and the real work began.  Primed some antique airplane parts for a friend of a friend.  (MAME Cab subsidy.)  Then began fine tuning a stained glass panel for a friend of the missus.  (another MAME Cab subsidy).  Hmmmm a Stained glass Marquee...It has possibilities.

Now where did I set my beer!

I've never had a red bull.  I haven't been in a bar in many years.

The Red Bull doesn't change the Jager taste too drastically, and it's rather high priced to be adding to Jager if you're someone who likes Jager and won't like it being diluted.

You and I have no use for Jager bombs.  Seph probably doesn't like Jager, but doesn't mind Jager bombs.

Jagr is light stuff anyway, shots wise.

I love me some 100 proof schnapps, there used to be stuff called Perma Frost (from Yukon Jack), it was like a binary liquid.  Some cinnamon, some peppermint, it was awesome.  Haven't seen it in years.

In college I used to spend many nights with a bottle of Rumple Minze and a bottle of Goldschlager.

Best drink ever, the Suck Bang and Blow.
