WG D9200 and ArcadeVGA questions
« on: October 08, 2005, 11:28:35 am »
I just hooked up my Wells-Gardner D9200 and Ultimarc ArcadeVGA for the first time and I have a couple of questions.

1. Is there anyway to get rid of the interlacing in Windows XP? I had the D9200 hooked up to a standard VGA card initially and Windows looked great - no interlacing. I understand that the ArcadeVGA adapter provides many refresh rates to re-create the different display modes for the real arcade look and that once I have everything configured properly I'll almost never be using the Windows GUI anyway. But if there's a way to make it easier on the eyes during the setup phase, I'd certainly appreciate it.

2. In the RetroBlast! review done by Kevin Steele back in August 2003, he indicates that there are additional pots on the circuit board to adjust other things such as focus and image rotation. Some of the pots are labeled while others are harder to make out. Does anyone know which pot allows you to adjust the image rotation? The display on my D9200 is rotated about 5 degrees clockwise right now.

Found the pot for adjusting the rotation. On my chassis it is VR101 and it's labeled ROAT - located all the way in the back center of the board.

Still curious about the interlacing though.

Have you tried running the Tri-Sync utility from the Ultimarc website?

That did the trick. I had no idea it even existed - thanks for the tip.

Hey all,

Just out of curiosity, is the Tri-sync utility a new name for the former 'D9200 patch'?
