Salem gets over a million visitors the two weeks before halloween. From where you live, if you ever need to go downtown during that time, walk. I'm serious. You'll see what I mean in a week or two.

Been to the Willows yet? Best arcade within 20 miles, though they don't keep the machines as repaired as they used to once summer wears on.

Where I grew up, you could walk 2km and get to 5 houses, so we usually just had some party at the school.

i live in one of the more "spaced out" areas of town, most of the kids go to the developments where the houses are like 2ft from each other. so we barely get anyone, which is good cause i hate having the dog bark all night. i never get up for the kids anyway, if my sister or mom is home they will

I was at Salem Willows last night actually. There's a place that makes really good pizza there and they were'nt delivering because of the amount of traffic the current Harry Potter convension has choked the town with. Still a clean shot to the Willows from my place though, I got my Asteroids fix while I waited for the pizza. The Ultracade machine still has an out of order sign on it

Where I live you could walk for five miles and only even see about a half dozen houses. You'd also very likely get shot at or mauled by a dog if you walked up to someone's door at night uninvited. I love country life.

In the ten years we've lived there we have had a total of one trick or treater. We were totally unprepared. I think my wife gave the kid a candy bar that she had because her school was selling them for a fund raiser.

A bunch of people told me to try the 'chicken chop suey sandwich' at that Chinese place, so I got it a couple of weeks ago. Their other stuff wasn't bad, but the chop suey sandwich is an unholy creation that never should have seen the light of day.

My wife and pretty much all of her friends worked at the Witch Museum all through high school. She used to be able to get into any Salem attraction free, and used to get me in all the time. We used to go in just to do unholy things once the lights went down for the shows.

Damnit! I was going to get that exact gorilla costume. OrientalTrading as some pretty cool stuff, but I ended up going through FrightCatalog.com for this ghoul mask instead....If you still haven't gotten a mask yet, and want one, this place has a ton of cool sh*t.
