Power Overload
« on: October 01, 2005, 07:23:34 am »
I cannot believe a PC and an LCD screen can overload a 300w UPS(Not the Courier mob) box.

Normally the system only draws 230-250w but as soon as I throw on NFS Underground or I encode an MPEG file, it can spike up to 320w, causing all these nasty messages to come up, and interrupting my game play.

The system's not that powerful but the video card does draw 85W alone.

I'm not looking for a solution (i'll just have to buy an extra battery). Just havin' a good old Aussie whinge.

Now in a tasty new flavour.
