ok, so i'm making a mock neo geo cabinet and will have a mock six slot marquee made to fit for my cabinet. i wanted to do something more than just make a flat marquee, so i've been thinking of using three sheets of lexan/plexiglass (16th of an inch thick) and sticking the frame for the pictures in between the first two sheets and then sticking the pictures themselves between the second two sheets.
to get an idea of what i'm talking about, take a look at the neo geo marquee below, the minimarquees go into the blank rectangular areas. i'm trying to create depth for the pictures by having them inset a 16th in from the rest of the marquee.
first question, is a marquee printed on white, or a clear sheet? would it matter if my interior/picture sheet was white behind my exterior/marquee sheet? if it was clear, would the light shine through the edges and look bad? is it even worth the extra expense and time?
thanks for the help guys. i was gonna get all my artwork done at mamemarquees, in case you were wondering.
