I recall reading that SHE had voluntarily donated it to the mame community... But don't quote me on that.

The info is out there if you have enough time to waste digging for it.

I seem to recall that the specific logo Emdkay was selling was created by Oscar of Oscar Controls and that Emdkay had got permission to sell it beforehand.

Or if not created by Oscar it at least lived on Oscar's site and he had legal custody of it or some rot.

Foley sent a C&D to Oscar too.  That's why you can't go around enforcing something that isn't yours.  You don't know anything about it.

That's why I asked why he thought the xx-in-1 boards are illegal for that French company to sell.  He doesn't know what deals were made between that company and whoever owns the IP to the games.  Sure he says he has intergalactic exclusive distribution rights, but unless he owns the IP, his issue is with whoever does.  Not the French company.  Maybe the IP holder broke their contract with him and let the French company distribute the games.  Who knows.

Of course if he'd identify a single title, we'd be able to check the validity of that whole argument...

We all know he did C&D orders and tried to get money for selling logo's etc.

We know he is all wrong just some people wont admit to it  ::)

i just try to spread the word to all friends that might even consider buying some kind of arcade thing anytime in the future, to never buy ultracade. if i can divert 1 purchase through this, i will feel happy  8)
