USB Light Gun for TV with a Twist
« on: September 21, 2005, 11:30:42 am »
New to the board. You guys rock!
Anyway, my setup will have a tv and I want to get a light gun for it. The twist is that I will have s-video out from the computer to an RF modulator to coax tv. I know I will be giving up some quality, but I like the size better. My question is, will the light gun have any issues with the conversion? The ACT website says the tv light gun works with s-video. Is this true s-video? Is there a better light gun out there for this situation?
Thanks
I've got a fever...

I'll be brutally honest with you.  Your image is gonna look like crap after being converted to Coax.  Thats the lowest quality image you can possibly get.  Your colors will be really washed out and everything is going to be fuzzy.

As far the gun working, you shouldnt have a problem.  Same premise behind a Guncon 2 and a PS2.  I have had friends with the same setup and it worked.

Best of luck to ya!  ;)  Welcome aboard.
