Game Strategies/Secrets

I just posted a question about Phoenix and it made me think.  It would be nice to have a post on Strategie and Secrets for popular games.   There used to be books and mags for these but,  I have no idea where to find them anymore.   Here is a list I would be interested in finding info for.   Feel free to post anything you think is helpful.

Galaga - I know there is a way to make them stop firing but don't remember.

I believe galaga, you just keep one guy left on the screen for 15 minutes. After that, he'll stop shooting and everyone after won't shoot.
I actually try it, but for some reason didn't work for me.

My best on galaga is 605,100...what's everyone else's best?
