Allergic to work
« on: September 20, 2005, 07:24:12 am »
Is there such a medical condition?  I think I have it...could I quit my job and claim benefit for it?

I have loads to do and I hate every second of it.  My motivation level is in negative figures.  I hate it so much.  I would get a new job but I would hate that just as much or probably more.

I despise the fact that people have to work to survive.  I cannot comprehend how people work their whole life.  I've been working 9 years...only 40 to go.  40 f**king years.  What a waste of life.

Goodness I must be having a bad day.

I have certainly felt this way. I hate the fact that I have to piss my life away working instead of doing the things I want to do. Damn, I got a list of hundreds of things I want to do that will never eventuate.

But you know what? There ain't squat you can do about it. If a person chooses not to work then they must also accept the fact that probably none of the things on their list will ever get done due to financial restrictions.

At least when you work you get to cross of some of the costly things you want to do in life.

Previously when I felt this way I took a completely different change in career and this really helped. It brought back some KABOOM I thought I had permanently lost.

Living the delusional lifestyle.

This is very true...the only good thing that comes of working really.

I probably should do this too...I've been thinking of starting my own business, purely so I can do something I like at least to some degree.  We'll see...

I have been known to call into work at least once every couple of months with the excuse of 'being to well to work' or having 'anal glaucoma' (not being able to see my --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules-- coming into work).  ;D

Make sure she's 90 years old and has heart problems.

Hmm... I think I'm overdue for calling in well. ;)
