Plexiglass is for conversion cabs with holes under the overlay.
Or people who want something to clan easily and not worry about wear on their cp art.
That bump on the back of your cabinet makes it harder to build, and transport, and makes it less stable, and is far from "authentic".

You will never use the 3rd and 4th joysticks (unless you have children or live in a dorm).
