Hi everyone, I have some weird stuff happening with my Orion monitor and Advancemame, and was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before.
The monitor is a Orion 20" 510lcb22, connected to a either a Flyback KFS-60314B or KFS-60344A chassis (
http://www.jomac.net.au/images/Chassis/img73.gif). I am using the newest version of Advancemame for DOS with an S3 video card wired to the monitor with a custom built vga to arcade cable. The Hsync and Vsync on the cable are soldered together and the remaining wires are r,g,b and ground.
I installed advancemame, and went through a quick configuration, choosing standard 15khz monitor for all options. I then wrote a batch file that automatically starts advancemame, loading the game Tank Force (this game was originally in my cabinet, so I chose it since I figured it would give me the best comparison between mame and the original board).
Once I was sure that the game was booted, I plugged in my monitor and began adjusting the horizontal and vertical dials until I got a picture. My issue now, is that the picture on screen is actually a series of horizontally tiled pictures of the game. They aren't flickering or scrolling or doing anything weird, there are just 6 different identical game screens being displayed on the monitor.
If anyone can shed some light on this, that would be great. Is it possible that my monitor does not like hsync and vsync twisted together (the chassis only has one sync cable), or is it something different.
Please see the screen shots below

Thanks,
/bill
