Help with Sampo monitor
« on: September 13, 2005, 09:18:02 pm »
OK...so forgive the newbie questions, but I've never worked with an arcade monitor before...

Got a FREE working Sampo 19 inch monitor (KGR1901H) to put in a Pac-man I'm restoring and I'm confused by the inputs.  I've only ever worked on a Electrohome G07 before.  The Sampo has a  well marked RGB and Sync input on the main board, but there is also a secondary board with a large transformer on it and a multiplug coming off of it.  The multiplug is the same size as the RGB/sync input plug (it has 6 wires on it).  This accessory board has the brite, contrast etc pots on it.  Is this extra plug just for a remote adjustment board for the monitor or something else. I'm confused...

Well according to the Sampo KGR-1901H Service Manual I have, this monitor was not manufactured with a remote adjustment board.

Thanks for the response!  How much do you want for a photocopy of the manual you have.  It's not posted on the web that I can find.
