How to buy a multi sync 27" monitor without going bankrupt!
« on: September 13, 2005, 08:39:03 pm »
I am at the point in my cab build that I need to figure out where I am going to get a monitor. I am hoping to buy a 27" d9200 or a betson. Yet, last time I checked Happs was selling the d9200 for over $600  shipped. The Betson isn't far behind.

Does any one know where I can find a place to buy one of these monitors for less. I live near SF and Sacramento in Ca and would be willing to drive to a seller If I could find one.

I have herd that some folks have bought theres from Happs for $399 when they have a sale. But I think prices have gone up recently. Bummer!
They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.

There's a Betson enterprises regional office in south san francisco. I called them about possibly picking up a monitor a couple of months ago. They do home delivery (for a price) or you can just pick up.

There address is:
213 East Harris Ave
South San Francisco, CA 94080
(650) 952-4220
(800) 526-7906
Fax (650) 952-6819

or just go to the betson website for more contact info. I'm not sure about how much they might charge for a 9200 or the 27" betson imperial, but you might get lucky and catch a sale or something. good luck

Thank you,

I will call and find out the details. I hope that I can keep it under $450, with pick up, (got three kids and a wife who hates video games) If I can find out when a sale is coming I will post it for every one in the SF area.

Lets face it though, you cant spend over a year building a cab and spend $800 bucks on it and skip one of the most important parts. I may just have to save up  and stare at my unfinished cab for a while. I had to do that with my home theater system and "oh yea" Halo look great at eight feet wide and a neo six surround system. ( Had to wait 3 years to get all the parts)

I went to the local Beston office in So. Cal and picked up the monitor for 400 plus tax.  They can be flexible with the price so dont be afraid to ask for a lower price.

Yea, I can wait till December.
I wonder if I call the local seller in SF will he let me know if a sale is coming. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and post my results. $399 sound real good. Thanks for the heads up Divemaster.

I just bought my betson from the Phoenix distributor last month for $425. No sale going on. The monitor is worth every penny!
