PS2 : how to extract data from .BIN file? +Ape Escape 3 discussion
« on: September 11, 2005, 11:14:40 pm »
Hello from Maine,

I just played through Saru Getchu 3 (Ape Escape 3 Jap) with my daughter and DAMN it is SO much fun!

http://www.piposaru.com/saru3/index.html

The music is super great too so I popped the disk into my PC DVD-Rom drive hoping to rip it only to find that the data is all in a single file called "DATA.BIN"

I tried with all my might but could not extract the contents.

Can you fellas advise me?

Thanks,
Craig

p.s. If you stumble upon that game from torrentspy I can upload a translation of the menu and write a quick English instruction manual.

heh, looks like your typical silly japanese game :)

as for the music. search the web for rippers.  There are programs that can extract audio/music files from PS1/2 discs.

What rippers can extract from a PS2 disk's *.BIN ?

All I could find was converters to convert from ps2 music file to WAV or MP3

Give me a clue please
