Does anyone have a good recommendation for a good dash (and/or skin) for an xbox cab?

Right now I'm using UnleashX but can't find a good skin to modify into an Arcade theme.  Anybody have any tips?

I use UnleashX as my dash as well.

Here is a pic of it, and below that is a video of it in action.

It was originally just the Subzero, with the watermarked medalion, and a vid in the background.

I added the 3d render of my cab. It displays the title of the game as the marquee, with preview footage on the cab's screen, while Sub Zero's badge is the games icon.

Cool :)

I'm waiting for my modchip...

Would it be easy enough for me to make a 'Mamewah' themed skin?  I'm a total newb with this stuff...

I always thought evoX looked fine, if a bit simplistic.

I was wondering something about evox, and it doesn't really need it's own thread, so I'll just toss it in here(if somebody has a problem with this, just tell me and I'll edit it out): Is there any way to switch what buttons go to the dashboard? My arcade stick seems to not like hitting the thumbstick buttons and the triggers at once, as it doesn't give me the proper response(returning to dashboard), and I'd like to be able to go back to the dashboard at will.

Avalaunch has some pretty cool skins too. If you have kids then Avalaunch is a bit easier to navigate than Evox

If you have kids, then UnleashX is the only choice. :)

It is EXTREMELY customizable (A lot more so than Avalaunch), so it can be made incredibly kid friendly, but more importantly, you can have a password/passcode set to any item.

This comes in real handy for keeping them out of the system menu stuff, as well as for keeping em out of games they aren't allowed.

UnleashX here.  I forget the skin that I use, but it's basically got a blue water/crystalish looking WMA in the background with silver lettering/borders.  Best one I found.

dug up a link, looks something like this:
http://www.xbox-skins.net/screenshots/[1920]preview.jpg

I am running on a TV so a large font helped out a lot.

Avalaunch was cool, but seemed to be abandoned for about 5 months when I started.  Maybe it's been updated in the last 6 months I dunno.

On a related note, is anyone using the ultimarc xbox adapter with an iPac?  I can't seem to get the 2nd player controls working regardless of my setup.  (SFII layout on my cab)

Oh yeah, and softmodding is the way to go.  Never chipped my box and it still does everything I need it to do.

Good luck.

Heck no. :P

Can't play on Live that way.

The best way to go is a tsop flash with a switch, and if your Xbox is too new for such a thing, then a chip is still better than a softmod.

Whatever works for ya though.

Oh...  Yeah, sorry.  For live I have an unmodded box.

My modded box is actually in my arcade machine.

The Xbox in my cab is modded as well (tsop flash), but it has to be able to go on Live for all those great online fighters. :)
