New Install - Problem Launching MAME Games

I just installed mamewah 1.61 on a new computer.  I followed the tutorials, but it is not working for me.  When I can open the mamewah.exe app.  It generated a list of all the mame games and their snaps.  When I "launch" a game, I receive the message that states that the game is "loading," ... this lasts for a short bit and then the "loading" message disappears, but the game never actually loads.

Any ideas as to what I am missing here?  I've been over and over my config files and everything "looks" good to me, but I am obviously missing something here.

maybe it is using some sort of "default" list of game rather than a "real" list correctly configured for your set up.
